These words have hovered above every Cadet who has ever passed through our doors for decades, and one must stop to reflect what the words symbolise. To our Cadets, it portrays more than just a philosophy, more than a guideline. It explains the feeling of pride that reverberates throughout the entire Ship's Company. We appreciate that we belong to the most efficient unit in Australia and that our name is engraved on the most coveted trophy of the Australian Navy Cadets - The Navy League Shield.
But more importantly, it is that we belong; we have unity. We are a group of very different people who have come together under a shared interest that is the Australian Navy Cadets. We are a group of people who are united by a shared pride; we have harmony. Each Cadet realises they have played a key part in this milestone achievement.
They have all been instrumental in winning the Navy League Shield for being the most efficient Unit in Australia for To someone on the outside it may be a piece of glorified wood, but to the Cadets it is a symbol of recognition for all the effort that we have put in together which could have, as easily, gone unnoticed; we have strength.
